Dudley Eugene Charles

Journey of Life
Dudley E. Charles, son of the late Frances C. Mack and James E.
Mack, was born on January 4, 1961, in Baltimore, Maryland. Dudley
departed this life on February 23, 2023, at Franklin Square Hospital.
Dudley received his education through the Baltimore County Public
School System. Dudley graduated from Franklin High School in 1980.
He was a track team member and played football in high school. He
continued to enjoy football and was a big Ravens fan. In his younger
years, he entered bodybuilding competitions. Dudley was raised by his
grandmother (the late Mary Charles), a God-fearing woman who raised
him to know God and kept Dudley on the right path. He also had a
special bond with his aunt (the late Mary Brooks), who helped raise
him. Dudley was a hardworking man who worked at Office Depot and
similar stores and worked for various temp agencies. Even in his senior
years, he worked strenuous jobs and did his best to exceed expectations
in his work.
Dudley met the love of his life Karen on a warm sunny day in 1995. He
knew it was love at first sight and found love with Karen. Dudley
married the love of his life on March 27, 2003. He was a very intelligent
man who wanted the best for his wife and admired her very much.
Dudley was a God-fearing man who often talked about the Lord and
encouraged his family and friends. He was warm, kind, and loving to
his family and friends. Dudley was a homebody; however, he would go
almost anywhere his wife wanted him to go. If you saw Karen, for the
most part, you saw Dudley. He enjoyed cooking, especially for his wife.
He always greeted people with a smile, was well-loved, and will surely
be missed.
Dudley was preceded in death by his mother, Frances C. Mack,
grandmother, Mary Charles, and stepson, Darrell A. Blowe.
Dudley leaves to cherish his memories: his loving and devoted wife of
20 years, Karen; father, James, brother, Angelo; mother-in-law Kay
Fields, brother-in-law Joseph Fields (Rhonda), sister-in-law Vernetta
Fields (Carl); niece Jasmine, special cousin Vonnetta Brooks and a host
of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
