the Son of Dolly Ann Thompson (Darlene) and Ernest Anderson (Sonny),
was born November 9, 1971, in Baltimore, Maryland. Gary Sr. was the second born of the
of the three children. His older brother Herbert Mack proceeded him in death.
Gary Anderson Sr. transitioned this life on June 25, 2021.
Gary Sr. affectionately known as Apple, “G”, Sandtown, and “Apple Scrapple”.
He was educated in Francis M. Wood High School in Baltimore, MD.
Gary Sr. also completed a trade in Carpentry in 1990. He worked as a
Cleaning Technician at the Golf Course until his transitioning in this life.
Gary A. Anderson Sr. (Apple Scrapple) was raised in the Sandtownarea of
Baltimore, MD; by his late Aunt and Uncle, Amy and Bristow Johnson.
Gary A. Anderson Sr. made it his mission to help those in need of it; and especially
helping the family. He loved his two children to the upmost. Gary Sr. was a comedian,
loved talking about the Bible with some family members, He loved animals, especially
holding the pigeons. He loved riding bikes, especially his “Harley Bike”, Apple was so
happy about learning how to play “Golf.” You could always find
Gary Sr. (Apple Scrapple)”, with his own particular fashion swag. He loved adding
different sun eyeglasses, and hats with whatever clothing he would wear that day.
He loved to dance especially with “Barbara Candi.”
Gary Sr. was well known for singing and playing music to all types of speakers
wherever he traveled daily.

Gary Sr. (Apple), He loved going to events and making memories with Barbara Candi
his Fiancée. He especially enjoyed going to see the “Matthews”; his extended family
at their house. Apple was always the life of a party and he always wanted to make
sure everybody had fun. Also, he loved checking on his family and friends in
Sandtown. He really enjoyed bringing and spreading joy to everyone he came
across in this life.
Gary Sr. was truly a “Provider” looking out for those who was closest to him.
Apple was a leader of many, he raised many of the men in Sandtown.
Gary Sr. showed love like God showed love, truly his life spoke for him.
Gary A. Anderson Sr. unexpectedly departed from us. He left to mourn his devoted
partner and Fiancée Barbara Lewis (Candi), his two children, Gary Anderson Jr. and
Lillian Anderson by his late wife, Aisha(Big) and two step-daughters: Madirah, and
Sade. Gary Sr. In-Laws: Malikahand Aziza, Younger Brother Robert Hodges(Rob),
close cousins, Cynthia Johnson (Cindy Rubble), and Davon and Latarsha Morgan.
Gary Sr. special extended family: Mary Vereen (Momma), Aunt Amy, and the late
Herbert Vereen (Gary Sr. called him Dad), (Four) Like-a-Father: William Wallace Sr.
and Wayne Davis (Curly), Four Brothers: William Wallace Jr. (Mr. Stink),
Donnell Young (Bread), Dontay Daugherty, (Penitentiary) and James Lewis Jr.
(He called Gary Sr.-“Apple Seed”), Two Sisters: Corlisa Diaz and Stephanie Young
(Mike), (Two) Sons; Tevin Matthews Sr. and Jamal Thompson (Buster),
Daughter-in-Law: Tiffany Matthews with his Grandson, T.J. Matthews Jr, God
Daughter, Michelle Wallace close friend Carlton Mills and a host of Family and
Friends.
