JAMES ELBERT SEGARS, JR. was born on August 24, 1959, to James Elbert Segars Sr and Joan Carraway Davis in Lamar, SC. He departed this life for eternal rest on Thursday, November 24, 2022. James was raised in Baltimore, MD from the age of 4 years old. James attended Baltimore city public schools. He graduated from Douglas Senior High School in 1977 with honors. As a young teenager, James loved to play the guitar. If you had the pleasure of knowing him, you couldn’t help but to love him.
James kept up with all his friends from childhood throughout his adult life. As a teenager, James worked at McDonalds and Luskin’s. However, when he became old enough to drive, it opened a whole new world for him. James had a passion for selling cars and he mastered the craft of sales. James had the gift of gab, sold many cars, but he had a kind heart and a wonderful personality. Selling cars was definitely his calling. No matter what other jobs were offered to him, he was determined to sell cars.
James was well known throughout Baltimore city and county for selling cars. Whenever family, and friends wanted to purchase a car, they always looked for James, Jim or Tank as he was known by family and friends throughout his life. He walked the walk, and he talked the talk, because he knew there wasn’t a salesman in Baltimore that could outsell him. His hobbies were horse racing, slot machines, music, watching movies, and football. He loved his family and friends.
