Obituary
James Leonard Williams, son of the late James Robley and Mary Jane Williams, was born on August 2, 1959 in Salem, New Jersey, the third of five children. He departed this life on January 16, 2022, after a short illness.
James, affectionately known as “Len” by family and friends, was a very devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His love, strength, and devotion to his family was unwavering.
Len was educated in the Baltimore City Public School system and at an early age enlisted in the Armed Forces of the United States. He was a member of the Moorish Science Temple. Len was a hard worker, very creative, and could fix anything. He was Mr. Fix-It and nothing was ever broken in the house. Len worked many jobs until obtaining his CDL license and starting his own trucking company, Confidence Carriers, LLC. He met and married Tracy, whom he adored. Together they have two children. He enjoyed listening to jazz, watching movies, and just spending time with his family. A sister, Bonnie Lee, and a brother, Mark, preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a devoted wife, Tracy; seven children—James, Jr., Titiana, Tiara, Jamal, Melody, Mezz, and Metta; two sisters—Barbara Washington and Kathy Williams; a devoted friend, Ora White-Carter, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
