Tyrone Gladden was born on March 9th, 1954 to the late Ledonia Harrington and Thomas M. Gladden. He grew up in East Baltimore on Ashland Avenue. Tyrone fondly reminisced on those days when he played with his dog Whimpie and best friend Speezie. He received his education through the Penn Foster Program.Tyrone later went to work for Bethlehem Steel, General Electric, and Whiting-Turner Contractors. On May 23, 1986, he married Lillian A. Alston. From this union, they had two sons: Dominic Gladden, a Morgan State University graduate, and Derrick Gladden, a University of Maryland graduate and active member of the U.S. Navy. Tyrone dedicated his life to loving, nurturing, caring, and preparing these young men for manhood. Tyrone loved sharing stories of his youth and his unique sense of humor with his loved ones. He was an avid reader of history and the Bible, as well as a fierce debater to anyone who challenged his merit. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gaming, and movies. Researching and reading current events on his laptop, talking on the phone for hours with his family, cooking, and eating his favorite childhood meals were all a frequent part of his daily routine. He loved playing and singing along to his oldies but goodies. He would tell anyone who sat down with him the love he had for all of his children and the pride he had to be their father. Tyrone spoke from his heart unapologetically and expressed the love he had for his family freely. On February 11, 2021, he was called home to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. May he live on forever in our hearts and rest in paradise. Tyrone leaves to mourn his wife, Lillian Gladden; Sons, Tyrone Harrington, Tyrone Gladden, Jerome Gladden, LaSalle Gladden, Dominic Gladden and Derrick Gladden; Daughters, Aisha Gladden and Natalie Alston; Sisters, Peggy Blackburn, Vivian Harrington, Patricia Ann Fields, and Dora Greene; Brothers, Raymond Gladden and Reggie Gladden; and a host of friends, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great nieces and nephews.
